Biography
Gary B. Goldman is a director, producer and assistant director. He began his career in Chicago working on commercials and music videos before moving to Los Angeles in 2001.
He worked as an associate producer on the HBO series Entourage (2006–2011) and made his directing debut on Showtime’s Shameless, directing two episodes in 2013 and 2014. He has since directed single episodes of House of Lies (2016), Animal Kingdom (2017) and Valley of the Boom (2019), on which he also served as producing director.
Goldman has extensive credits as a first or second assistant director on feature films including The Fugitive (1993), Primal Fear (1996), Chain Reaction (1996), Love Jones (1997), Kissing a Fool (1998), Driven (2001) and Below (2002), as well as numerous television series. He received an Online Film & Television Association nomination for direction on Shameless.
