Biography
Gary Halvorson is an American television, stage and film director. He trained as a classical pianist at the Juilliard School.
Halvorson directed numerous episodes of sitcoms including Roseanne (1996–1997), Friends (1997–2004), Everybody Loves Raymond (1997–2005), Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (1996–1999) and The Drew Carey Show (1995–1996). He also directed the 1999 feature film The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland and has worked extensively on opera broadcasts for the Metropolitan Opera.
He has received multiple Emmy Awards and nominations, including Daytime Emmy wins for directing Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade specials.
