Biography
Gary Whitta is a British screenwriter, author and former video game journalist. He began his career contributing to magazines including ACE and helped found PC Gamer, later serving as editor-in-chief of both the UK and US editions.
Whitta wrote the screenplay for The Book of Eli (2010). He co-wrote the screenplay for After Earth (2013) with M. Night Shyamalan, from a story by Will Smith, and co-developed the story for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016). He has also written episodes of Star Wars Rebels (2014–2018).
