Biography
George Kay is an English television writer and producer. He wrote two episodes of the first season of Killing Eve (2018) and is the creator of the series War (2026). He is also known as the creator of Lupin (2021), Criminal (2019), Hijack (2023) and The Long Shadow (2023).
Kay met director Jim Field Smith while a student at Wellington College, Berkshire, and the pair have collaborated on several projects including Stag (2016) and Criminal. He began his career in factual television as head of development at Twenty Twenty Television and head of factual at Blast! Films. He became a full-time screenwriter in 2009 after winning the Brit List with his script Good Luck Anthony Belcher.
