Biography
Gerry Duggan (1910–1992) was an Irish-Australian character actor. Born in Dublin, he moved to New York at the age of 16 and later settled in Australia in the 1930s. He began his film career at nearly 50 with a role in The Siege of Pinchgut (1959), for which he received a BAFTA nomination for Most Promising Newcomer.
Duggan appeared in numerous supporting roles in British and Australian films and television. His credits include The Sundowners (1960) as a shearer, The Servant (1963) as a waiter, Goldfinger (1964) as Hawker, Mad Dog Morgan (1976) as Martin, and My Brilliant Career (1979) as a squatter. He also featured in series such as The Saint, The Avengers, and various Australian programmes.
