Biography
Gil Grau (1908–1969) was an American composer, orchestrator and music arranger who worked in Hollywood from the early 1940s until his death.
He received composer credit, often uncredited, on films including The Lady Eve (1941), Hellcats of the Navy (1957) and episodes of television series such as Valentine's Day (1965). He was more frequently credited as orchestrator or arranger on major productions including Notorious (1946), The Big Country (1958), Lolita (1962), Cheyenne Autumn (1964), Robin and the 7 Hoods (1964) and El Dorado (1966).
Grau was born in Illinois and died in Los Angeles.
