Biography
Giuseppe Lanci, also credited as Beppe Lanci, is an Italian cinematographer. Born in Rome on 1 May 1942, he trained at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia.
He began his career in the mid-1960s as an assistant camera operator and camera operator on films including Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) and Four Flies on Grey Velvet (1971). He worked as director of photography from 1977 onwards, collaborating frequently with Marco Bellocchio on eleven films, the Taviani brothers on seven films, and Nanni Moretti on four films, among them Caro diario (1993) and The Son's Room (2001).
Lanci has received numerous nominations and awards for cinematography, including a David di Donatello.
