Biography

Gordon Flemyng (7 March 1934 – 12 July 1995) was a Scottish director, producer and writer of television and film. He directed episodes of numerous British series, including The Avengers (1961), The Saint (1962), The Bill (1984) and Lovejoy (1986). He also wrote an episode of Play for Today (1970).

Flemyng directed the two 1960s Dalek feature films Dr. Who and the Daleks (1965) and Daleks' Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D. (1966), as well as the Hollywood crime drama The Split (1968) and the British war film The Last Grenade (1970). He was the father of actor Jason Flemyng.
