Biography

Alan Grint is a British television director. He has directed numerous episodes of long-running series including Coronation Street (1960), on which he worked across multiple stints from 1973 to 2019 for a total of around 150 episodes, making him one of its longest-serving directors.

His other credits include episodes of Bergerac (1981), Spender (1991), Casualty (1986), Play for Today (1970), The Bill (1984), Peak Practice, Brookside, Hollyoaks and Lark Rise to Candleford. He has also directed television adaptations such as Sherlock Holmes (1984), The Secret Garden (1987) and several Catherine Cookson dramas.
