Biography
Richard Signy is a British television director. He studied at the University of Manchester and joined Granada Television in the late 1980s. His first directing credit was the children's series Tickle on the Tum.
Signy has directed numerous episodes of long-running British series, including 43 episodes of Coronation Street (1990–1996), as well as work on Death in Paradise (2014–2021), The Bill, Casualty, Holby City, Doctors, Silent Witness and Brassic. He has directed multiple episodes of The Chelsea Detective (2022–). He received a BAFTA nomination for his direction of the 1998 mini-series Undercover Heart.
