Biography
Gregg Barton, born Harold Wilson Barker, was an American actor who appeared in feature films and television series, primarily in Westerns and supporting roles.
Born on 5 June 1912 in Long Island City, New York, he made his screen debut in the 1940s. His film credits include Flying Tigers (1942), The Three Musketeers (1948), The Gunfighter (1950), The Far Country (1954) and the role of Fritz in The Man from Laramie (1955). He appeared frequently on television, notably as Stan Richter in The Gene Autry Show and in multiple episodes of series such as The Range Rider, Annie Oakley and The Lone Ranger.
Barton served in the US Marine Corps during the Second World War and received the Silver Star for action on Iwo Jima. He died on 28 November 2000 in Fallbrook, California.
