Biography
Guillaume de Tonquédec is a French stage, television and film actor. Born in Paris on 18 October 1966, he trained at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique after studying economics and English at Paris Nanterre University. He began his stage career in 1989 with a national tour of John Millington Synge's The Playboy of the Western World.
He appeared as Serge in Krzysztof Kieślowski's The Double Life of Véronique (1991). De Tonquédec gained wider recognition in France for his role as Renaud Lepic in the television series Fais pas ci, fais pas ça (2007–2017). In 2013 he won the César Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in What's in a Name? (2012). He was appointed a Knight of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2015.
