Biography

Guillaume Schiffman is a French cinematographer. He has collaborated frequently with director Michel Hazanavicius on films including OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies (2006), OSS 117: Lost in Rio (2009) and The Artist (2011).

Schiffman shot The Artist in colour before converting the footage to black and white. For his work on the film he received a BAFTA Award for Best Cinematography in 2012, a César Award for Best Cinematography and an Academy Award nomination for Best Cinematography.

He is the son of screenwriter and director Suzanne Schiffman. His partner is actress and director Emmanuelle Bercot.
