Biography
Guneet Monga Kapoor is an Indian film producer. Born in New Delhi on 21 November 1983, she moved to Mumbai and began working in production in the mid-2000s. She founded the boutique production company Sikhya Entertainment in 2008.
She produced Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 1 (2012) and Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 2 (2012) in collaboration with Anurag Kashyap, and has produced or executive produced films including The Lunchbox (2013), Masaan (2015), Period. End of Sentence. (2018) and The Elephant Whisperers (2022). The latter two won Academy Awards for Best Documentary Short Subject. She was among the first Indian producers inducted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
