Biography
Nawazuddin Siddiqui is an Indian actor who works primarily in Hindi cinema. Born on 19 May 1974 in Budhana, Uttar Pradesh, he studied chemistry at Gurukul Kangri University and trained at the National School of Drama in New Delhi.
He made his film debut in Sarfarosh (1999) and first gained widespread attention for his role as Faizal Khan in Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 1 (2012). Siddiqui has since appeared in films including The Lunchbox (2013), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), Raees (2017) and Lion (2016), and in the series Sacred Games (2018). He received a Special Jury Award at the 2012 National Film Awards.
