Biography
Guy Davis is an American concept artist, creature designer and production designer. Born in Michigan in 1966, he began his career as a self-taught comics artist, notably illustrating B.P.R.D. for Dark Horse before leaving comics around 2011 to focus on film and television design.
He has maintained a long collaboration with director Guillermo del Toro, providing concept art and creature designs for Pacific Rim (2013), Crimson Peak (2015), The Shape of Water (2017) and Nightmare Alley (2021). Davis served as co-production designer, alongside Curt Enderle, on Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio (2022), his first credit in that role; the film earned him an Annie Award and an Art Directors Guild Award for production design.
