Biography

Guy Godfree is a Canadian cinematographer. Originally from Pugwash, Nova Scotia, he is a graduate of the American Film Institute Conservatory.

He served as cinematographer on the Netflix limited series Maid (2021), shooting five episodes. His feature credits include Maudie (2016), for which he received the 2017 Canadian Society of Cinematographers award for feature film cinematography, Let Him Go (2020), Giant Little Ones (2019), Buffaloed (2020), Wildhood (2022) and Sharp Corner (2025). In 2025 he won the Best Atlantic Cinematography award at the Atlantic International Film Festival for At the Place of Ghosts.
