Biography
Hai Kit-Wai, also credited as Kit-Wai Kai or 奚傑偉, is a Hong Kong film editor. His early credits include As Tears Go By (1988) and Days of Being Wild (1990). He edited John Woo's Hard Boiled (1992) and several Wong Kar-wai films, including Chungking Express (1994) and Ashes of Time (1994).
Later work includes A Chinese Odyssey Part One: Pandora's Box (1995), A Chinese Odyssey Part Two: Cinderella (1995), King of Comedy (1999) and Shaolin Soccer (2001). He has received multiple Hong Kong Film Awards for Best Film Editing, including shared wins for Chungking Express and Shaolin Soccer.
