Biography

Hakeem Kae-Kazim is a Nigerian-British actor and producer. Born on 1 October 1962 in Lagos, Nigeria, he moved to south London as a baby. He trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, graduating in 1987, and began his career in British theatre with the Royal Shakespeare Company and Royal National Theatre before appearing in television series such as The Bill.

Kae-Kazim gained international recognition for his role as Georges Rutaganda in the 2004 film Hotel Rwanda. He has since appeared in films including Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007) as Captain Jocard, X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), and Godzilla vs. Kong (2021), as well as television series such as Lost, 24, Black Sails (2014–2016) and Gotham. He produced and starred in Man on Ground (2011) and won a SAFTA for his performance in Riding with Sugar (2020).
