Biography
Hans Christian Blech (20 February 1915 – 5 March 1993) was a German character actor in film, stage and television.
Born in Darmstadt, he made his English-language film debut as Sgt. Rudolf Barth, known as Tiger, in Decision Before Dawn (1951). He appeared in several international productions set during the Second World War, including The Longest Day (1962) as Maj. Werner Pluskat, Battle of the Bulge (1965), Morituri (1965) and The Bridge at Remagen (1969).
Blech trained at the Schauspielschule des Landestheaters in Darmstadt and performed at theatres including the Münchner Kammerspiele. His other notable film roles include appearances in Wrong Move (1975) and Colonel Redl (1985).
