Biography
Harley Cokeliss (also credited as Harley Cokliss) is an American film and television director, writer and producer. Born on 11 February 1945 in San Diego, California, he was raised in Chicago and moved to Britain in 1966 to study at the London Film School.
He began his career making documentaries for British television in the early 1970s, including an early filmed adaptation of J. G. Ballard’s Crash!. Cokeliss later directed feature films such as Black Moon Rising (1986) and Malone (1987), and served as second unit director on The Empire Strikes Back (1980). He has also directed episodes of television series including Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (1995) and Xena: Warrior Princess (1995).
