Biography
Harold Gould (born Harold Vernon Goldstein) was an American character actor. He appeared as Kid Twist in the 1973 film The Sting.
Gould earned a PhD in theatre from Cornell University, where he taught speech and drama before becoming a full-time actor in the 1960s. He had previously served in the US Army during the Second World War. Over a career spanning more than 50 years, he worked extensively in television, film and theatre, appearing in more than 300 television shows, 20 major motion pictures and over 100 stage plays.
He is known for recurring television roles as Martin Morgenstern in Rhoda (1974–78) and The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and as Miles Webber in The Golden Girls (1985–92). Gould received five Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
