Biography
Harry Chandlee (1882–1956) was an American screenwriter, film editor and occasional producer. His career in film began in the silent era and continued into the 1940s.
He received a screenplay credit on the 1940 adaptation of Our Town. Other writing credits include the story for Platinum Blonde (1931) and the original screenplay for Sergeant York (1941), for which he shared an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay. He also worked as an editor on several British productions in the late 1920s, including Moulin Rouge (1928) and The Woman in White (1929).
