Biography

Hattie Hayridge is a British comedian and actress. She began performing stand-up comedy in 1986 after a spontaneous gig in a London club and became part of the late-1980s and early-1990s alternative comedy scene on the British circuit. In 1987 she was runner-up for the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year award.

In 1988 she appeared on Friday Night Live and was cast as Hilly, the female version of the ship's computer Holly, in the Red Dwarf episode "Parallel Universe". After Norman Lovett left the series, Hayridge took over the role of Holly for series III, IV and V (1989–1992). She has also appeared in Jonathan Creek (2000) as Lizzie Gillespie, Lexx (2001) as Sub-Warden Heidi, and the film SuperBob (2015) as the Pram Woman.

Hayridge has performed stand-up on television shows including Have I Got News for You and at festivals such as Just for Laughs in Montreal. She published the autobiography Random Abstract Memory in 1997.
