Biography
Haymon Maria Buttinger is an Austrian actor. Born on 3 May 1953 in Vienna, he studied acting at the Konservatorium Wien between 1975 and 1978 and passed the stage examination before the Paritätische Bühnenprüfungskommission Wien.
He gained early experience in props and stage work before becoming a fixed ensemble member at the Wiener Burgtheater under Claus Peymann from 1993 to 1999, appearing in 17 productions. Buttinger is known for supporting roles in films such as Schindler's List (1993) as an Auschwitz guard and Before Sunrise (1995) as a bartender, as well as The Captain (2017) as Dr Kremer. His television credits include appearances in Tatort, Inspector Rex and Pagan Peak.
