Biography
Helen Behan is an Irish actress. She grew up in Laytown, County Meath, and attended part-time acting courses at the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin, while working as a nurse.
Behan began her screen career in 2011 after a chance meeting with director Shane Meadows led to a role in the Channel 4 series This Is England '88. She is known for her performance as Anna in the 2019 series The Virtues, for which she received a BAFTA Television Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Other credits include This Is England '90 (2015), Elizabeth Is Missing (2019), Wolf (2021) and Say Nothing (2024). In 2024 she played Mrs. Kehoe in the film Small Things Like These.
Behan was named one of Screen International's Stars of Tomorrow in 2020.
