Biography
Hélène Louvart is a French cinematographer. She was born on 2 September 1964 in Pontarlier, Doubs, and graduated in 1985 from the École nationale supérieure Louis-Lumière in Paris. She is a member of the Association Française des directeurs de la photographie Cinématographique (AFC).
Louvart has worked with directors including Wim Wenders, Agnès Varda, Claire Denis and Alice Rohrwacher. Her collaborations with Rohrwacher include Corpo Celeste (2011), The Wonders (2014), Happy as Lazzaro (2018) and La Chimera (2023). Other credits include Pina (2011), Beach Rats (2017), Never Rarely Sometimes Always (2020), The Lost Daughter (2021) and Firebrand (2024).
She has received awards for her work, including a Silver Hugo for Best Cinematography for La Chimera at the Chicago International Film Festival.
