Biography
Henry Corden, born Henry Cohen, was a Canadian-born American actor and voice actor. He began his career on stage and radio before moving to Hollywood in the 1940s, appearing in films such as The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (1947) and The Asphalt Jungle (1950), often in supporting or uncredited roles. He also worked in television on series including Bonanza, Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie.
Corden is best known for providing the voice of Fred Flintstone from 1977, after the death of Alan Reed, in various Flintstones productions, specials and commercials. His film credits include an uncredited role as orchestra leader in The Band Wagon (1953) and appearances in The Ten Commandments (1956). Born in Montréal, Québec, Canada, on 6 January 1920, he died on 19 May 2005.
