Biography

Hiftu Quasem is a Scottish actress. She was born in Aberdeen and studied civil engineering at the University of Glasgow before working as a researcher on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme. She later trained at the Oxford School of Drama, completing its one-year acting course.

Quasem began her screen career in short films and made her television debut in episodes of Killing Eve (2020) and Traces (2019). She has since appeared as Falka in The Witcher (2023), Misha Virani in Ten Percent (2022), Joyce in This Is Going to Hurt (2022), Meg in Something in the Water (2024) and Amna in Sebastian (2024). In 2025 she played Ayesha in the series Hostage and Shona Randall in Lockerbie: A Search for Truth.
