Biography
Hiroyuki Seshita is a Japanese animation and visual effects director. Born in Tokyo in 1967, he joined the CG production company Links in 1989 and later worked at Square USA as art director on Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001). He has been with Polygon Pictures since 2010.
Seshita co-directed the animated Godzilla trilogy with Kobun Shizuno: Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters (2017), Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle (2018) and Godzilla: The Planet Eater (2018). He has also directed BLAME! (2017) and served as series director or chief director on Knights of Sidonia (2014–2015), Ajin: Demi-Human (2016) and Levius (2019). In 2023 he directed and co-wrote Gamera -Rebirth-.
