Biography
Kana Hanazawa is a Japanese voice actress and singer. Born on 25 February 1989 in Tokyo, she began acting as a child and made her voice acting debut at age 14 as Holly in the anime series Last Exile (2003). She is affiliated with the agency Office Osawa.
Hanazawa is known for numerous anime roles, including Yukari Yukino in The Garden of Words (2013), Rize Kamishiro in Tokyo Ghoul (2014), the teacher in Your Name. (2016), Kana in Weathering with You (2019), Mitsuri Kanroji in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (2019), and Tsubame Iwato in Suzume (2022). She won the Seiyu Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2015 and the Newtype Anime Award for Best Voice Actress in 2015, 2017 and 2018.
She made her singing debut in 2012 with the single "Hoshizora Destination".
