Biography
Holly Gent, also credited as Holly Gent Palmo, is a screenwriter. She co-wrote the screenplay for Me and Orson Welles (2008) with her husband, Vincent Palmo Jr., adapting Robert Kaplow's novel; the film was directed by Richard Linklater.
Gent studied at the University of Texas and began her career in film production. She worked as a production coordinator and in other roles on projects including the 1989 miniseries Lonesome Dove and Linklater's Dazed and Confused (1993). She later collaborated with Linklater again as co-producer and co-writer on Me and Orson Welles.
Her other screenwriting credits include Where'd You Go, Bernadette (2019) and Nouvelle Vague (2025).
