Biography
Hualālai Chung is a Native Hawaiian actor and performer. Born on 27 April 1994 and raised on Oʻahu, he began fire-knife dancing at the age of three and has performed at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, in the KA WAʻA – A Lūʻau show since 2016. His father, Esmond Chung, was an actor, musician and lūʻau emcee, and his mother, Auliʻi Stone, was a dancer and Mrs Hawaiʻi 1997.
Chung is known for voicing Moni in the animated film Moana 2 (2024), a role that also features him on the soundtrack. He appears as Glenn in the television series Rescue: HI-Surf (2024) and as Animal Control Worker #1 in Lilo & Stitch (2025). Earlier credits include guest roles in NCIS: Hawaiʻi (2024) and Sesame Street (2023), as well as an uncredited appearance in Mad Men (2013). He trained at Kamehameha Schools and holds a marketing degree from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
