Biography
Ian Puleston-Davies is a Welsh actor. He was born on 6 September 1958 in Flint, Wales, and trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He began his career in repertory theatre and stand-up comedy before moving into television and film.
He is best known for playing builder Owen Armstrong in the ITV soap Coronation Street (2010–2015). Other television roles include Arthur Pennyworth in Pennyworth (2019–2021), Peter Cullen in Marcella (2016), and Eric in The Responder (2022–2024). He has also appeared in Midsomer Murders, Life on Mars, Being Human, The Colour of Magic, Hustle, I'm Alan Partridge and Vera.
Puleston-Davies has worked as a writer and director. He co-wrote the 2004 television drama Dirty Filthy Love and made his feature directorial debut with Bolan's Shoes (2023).
