Biography
Inger Pehrsson, also credited as Inger Elvira Pehrsson, is a Swedish costume designer born on 5 January 1935 in Gothenburg. She is self-taught and began working in film in the mid-1960s.
She maintained a 30-year collaboration with Ingmar Bergman, providing costumes for productions including Scenes from a Marriage (1973–1974), Autumn Sonata (1978), After the Rehearsal (1984) and Saraband (2003). Her other credits include The Sacrifice (1986) directed by Andrei Tarkovsky and several films by Lasse Hallström such as My Life as a Dog (1985). She has also worked as a production designer.
Pehrsson received the Ingmar Bergman Award in 1988 and the Clapper Board of the Year award in 1982, among other honours including multiple Guldmask awards for theatre work.
