Biography
J. J. Philbin is an American television writer and producer. She is the daughter of television presenters Regis Philbin and Joy Philbin. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1996 after attending the Loomis-Chaffee School.
Philbin began her career writing for Mad TV and Saturday Night Live. She wrote episodes of The O.C. (2003), Dead Like Me (2003), Heroes (2006) and New Girl (2011). She co-created and executive produced the sitcom Single Parents (2018) and has written for and served as co-executive producer on Only Murders in the Building (2021). She is married to writer and producer Michael Schur.
