Biography
J. Larry Carroll is an American writer and former editor, born on 7 October 1946. He began his career in film editing, serving as editor on The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) and working in the editorial department on The Hills Have Eyes (1977).
Carroll later focused on writing for television, contributing episodes to series including Star Trek: The Next Generation (where he also served as story editor), ThunderCats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Murder, She Wrote and Walker, Texas Ranger. He co-wrote the screenplay for Tourist Trap (1979) and has writing credits on animated programmes such as Pucca and Captain Planet and the Planeteers.
