Biography
J. Terry Williams (25 August 1930 – 22 March 2015) was an American film editor, also credited as Terry Williams. He worked as an editor on approximately thirty feature films and television movies between 1962 and 1991, and served as assistant editor (uncredited) on To Kill a Mockingbird (1962).
Williams edited episodes of Columbo (1971) and other television series including McMillan & Wife. His feature credits include Send Me No Flowers (1964), The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming (1966), Eye of the Cat (1969), Family Plot (1976), Airport 1975 (1974), Airport '77 (1977) and Raise the Titanic (1980). He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing, shared with Hal Ashby, for The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming.
