Biography
Jack Gariss was an American writer and producer. He received a screenwriting credit on Cecil B. DeMille's The Ten Commandments (1956), alongside Aeneas MacKenzie, Jesse L. Lasky Jr. and Fredric M. Frank. He also worked as an uncredited additional writer on DeMille's The Greatest Show on Earth (1952).
Born in Tecumseh, Nebraska, in 1920, Gariss wrote episodes for television series including Rescue 8 (1958–1959) and Klondike (1960), and served as associate producer on The Westerner (1960). In later life he taught meditation and hosted radio programmes on spiritual topics for KPFK in Los Angeles. He died in Reseda, California, in 1985.
