Biography
Jack Holt (born Charles John Holt, Jr.) was an American actor. He appeared as Jack Burley in San Francisco (1936) and in supporting roles in Cat People (1942), They Were Expendable (1945), The Chase (1946) and The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948).
Born in New York City in 1888, Holt began his career with stunt work and bit parts before becoming a leading man in silent films and early talkies, particularly Westerns. He later took character roles and had a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He died in 1951.
