Biography
Jacqueline Bisset is a British actress. She was born Winifred Jacqueline Fraser Bisset on 13 September 1944 in Weybridge, Surrey, England, and trained at the Lycée Français de Londres. She began her film career in 1965 and gained prominence in 1968 with roles in The Detective, Bullitt and The Sweet Ride.
In the 1970s she appeared in Airport (1970) as Gwen Meighen, Day for Night (1973), Murder on the Orient Express (1974) and The Deep (1977). Her later credits include Class (1983), Domino (2005), Miss You Already (2015) and a guest role in Nip/Tuck (2006). She has also worked in French productions.
Bisset has received Golden Globe nominations for The Sweet Ride (1969), Who Is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe? (1979) and Under the Volcano (1985), and won the award for Dancing on the Edge (2014). She was nominated for an Emmy Award for Joan of Arc (1999) and a César Award for La Cérémonie (1995), and was awarded the Légion d'Honneur in 2010.
