Biography
Jacqueline Fontaine (born Joyce Romeo) was an American actress and singer. She was born on 14 August 1927 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and died on 1 August 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Fontaine appeared in films from the early 1950s, including The Strip (1951) as Frieda, Outlaw Women (1952) as Ellen Larabee, and The Country Girl (1954) as the lounge singer. Later credits include The Ladies Man (1961) as a working girl and an uncredited singer role in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967). She also performed as a nightclub singer and made recordings.
