Biography
Jaime Sánchez is a Puerto Rican actor of stage, film and television. Born on 19 December 1938 in Rincón, Puerto Rico, he began his career on Broadway in 1957 as Chino in the original production of West Side Story. He studied drama at HB Studio in New York City and has appeared in numerous off-Broadway productions.
His film roles include Jesus Ortiz in The Pawnbroker (1964), Angel in The Wild Bunch (1969), and Rudy in Carlito's Way (1993). He has also appeared in television series such as Law & Order, Kojak and Miami Vice. In 2002 he received the HOLA Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors.
