Biography
James A. Marcus was an American actor who appeared in more than 100 films between 1915 and 1937. Born in New York City, he began his screen career in the silent era and continued into the sound period, often in supporting or uncredited roles.
He is credited as Kyrilla Troekouroff in The Eagle (1925). Other notable appearances include Jim Conway in The Regeneration (1915), Mr. Bumble in Oliver Twist (1922), Judge Haller in The Iron Horse (1925), Joe Horn in Sadie Thompson (1928), and an uncredited role in The Scarlet Empress (1934). He died in Hollywood, California, in 1937.
