Biography
James Hazeldine was an English actor and director. He was born on 4 April 1947 in Salford, Lancashire, and died on 17 December 2002 in London.
He appeared in films including Nicholas and Alexandra (1971), The Ruling Class (1972), The Medusa Touch (1978) and Pink Floyd – The Wall (1982). On television he played Mike "Bayleaf" Wilson in London's Burning from 1986 to 1996 and directed episodes of the series and other programmes such as Heartbeat and The Knock.
Hazeldine trained and performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company and appeared at the National Theatre and on Broadway. He was married to Rebecca Moore from 1971 and had two children, including the actor Sam Hazeldine.
