Biography
James Hegedus is an American production designer and art director whose credits span live-action and animated films. He served as production designer on the animated feature Shrek (2001).
His other notable credits include art direction on Jumanji (1995), supervising art director on Mars Attacks! (1996) and Get Smart (2008), and art direction on The Polar Express (2004) and Live Free or Die Hard (2007). He has also worked as a production illustrator and concept artist on titles including Defending Your Life (1991), Hop (2011) and Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). Hegedus received a second production design credit on the animated film The Haunted World of El Superbeasto (2009).
