Biography
James Lamont is a British screenwriter. He frequently collaborates with Jon Foster and co-wrote the screenplay for the film Paddington in Peru (2024) with Foster and Mark Burton.
Lamont wrote for the animated series The Amazing World of Gumball (2011–2016) and co-developed the animated series The Adventures of Paddington (2019–2023). With Foster, he wrote the "Paddington meets the Queen" sketch for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in 2022. He has also contributed to series including Cuckoo and the film The Harry Hill Movie (2013).
Lamont was born James Deon Lamont on 15 June 1982 in London. He has won BAFTA Children's Awards and a Daytime Emmy Award.
