Biography
James Leicester (1905–1989) was an American film editor. He worked in the editorial department at Warner Bros., contributing montage sequences to films including Casablanca (1942), Gentleman Jim (1942), Mr. Skeffington (1944) and Mildred Pierce (1945).
From the mid-1950s he took editing and supervising editor credits on feature films such as Silver Lode (1954), Tennessee's Partner (1955), Slightly Scarlet (1956), The River's Edge (1957) and Enchanted Island (1958). He later edited episodes of television series including Night Gallery (1970–1971). He was born in San Francisco, California, and died in Ojai, California.
