Biography
James Melton, also credited as Jim Melton, is a film editor who worked primarily at Walt Disney Productions. His first major screen credit was as co-editor, with Tom Acosta, on the animated feature Robin Hood (1973).
He edited or contributed to the editorial department on numerous Disney animated films, including The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977), The Rescuers (1977), The Fox and the Hound (1981), Mickey's Christmas Carol (1983), The Black Cauldron (1985), The Great Mouse Detective (1986), Oliver & Company (1988), Beauty and the Beast (1991) and later titles such as Home on the Range (2004). His Disney career spanned more than three decades.
