Biography

Jamie Parker is an English actor and singer. Born on 14 August 1979 in Middlesbrough, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 2002.

He originated the role of Scripps in Alan Bennett's stage play The History Boys at the National Theatre in 2004, reprising it in the Broadway, international and film versions (2006). He is best known for playing Harry Potter in the original West End and Broadway productions of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, winning a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Play and receiving a Tony Award nomination.

Parker's screen credits include Lieutenant Richards in 1917 (2019), Werner von Haeften in Valkyrie (2008), Robin Janvrin in The Crown (2016) and David in the series Ride or Die (2026). He has appeared in numerous other stage productions, including at Shakespeare's Globe, and television series such as Masters of the Air (2024).
